Lockout

I connect to a computer at work from home using RDC. The computer at the
remote location has fast user switching turned on and is in fact used by
other users.
The problem is, when I am on from home, the users at that end don't know it.
My icon on the welcome screen simply says "logged on", but it always says
that as I do stay logged on so the anti-virus updates.
So - when they sit down and log themselves in I get kicked out pronto. Is
there anyway to lock that computer when I make a remote connection and
unlock it when I am finished?
thanks in advance.
Tom

Well that's not 100% true. If I were to get rid of the fast user switching
there is something I can change in the group policy unter Terminal Services
which would keep others from kicking me out and logging in themselves. I was
hoping there was a way to do it without losing the features of the fast user
switching - ie forcing a user to log off.
Thanks for the link though.

Can you point me to the GP that your talking about? I just looked at them, on one of my XP Pro
boxes, and can't seem to figure out which one your talking about...Maybe its my old age..:-)

Thanks...

OK - I am at home now and the computer which I originally made the change on
is at work, but I am pretty sure it is this one
Machine settings\Adm template\Windows components\Terminal services
Do not allow new client connections - enable
I can double check tomorrow when I go in, but I think that was it.
Tom

I believe, and I could be wrong about this, that particular GP disables Remote Desktop completely.

Hey guys - that's wierd. I have that policy enabled and I connect all the
time. The reason, at least I thought, it wasn't actually doing anything is
because I am using FUS. Of course stranger things than this have happened in
the world of Windows :)
Thanks for the link Jeffrey. That basically answers my original question. Do
you know if this is something they are working on fixing?
