lockout./freezes on def downloads

smoother definition download would be nice because when
trying to update definition MSAS tend to lockout/freezes
and very long definition download should be less. simply
updating definition on MSAS means its time to stop or
pause what your doing. need a lot of improvement on
update so i wouldn't have to stop what im doing.

Well, its still beta 1, so hopefully we will see improvements in reliability
and performance in beta 2. Personally, I have had not problems with
Automatic/Manual updates.

You DO NOT have to stop doing anything on the system.
Even though the program seems to freeze/lockup, it is
still downloading the updated definitions.

If you are connecting to the Internet using dial-up, this
is the cause of the assumed freeze/lockup. The two files
that make up the actual definitions are around 1.25 MB
and 2.53 MB. Trying to download these files will usually
take 10-15 minutes to download using dial-up, but only
about 30 seconds using broadband. Just because the
screen doesn't preperly refresh, DOES NOT mean that you
CAN NOT do anything else until the download finishes.
The reason this happens is that in order for the screen
to refresh the current window, the program must call the
refresh option in the code. However, this WILL NOT
happen until the current request (the downloading) is
finished. You CAN do other things until this stops
happening, as I HAVE done in the past.
