Just a quick question, I want to be able to press
Ctrl+Alt+Del and lock the workstation. When I do this I
get task manager, how do I set it so that it offers to
lock the workstation?

Can this only be done if you are part of a domain?

Thanks

.. Right click on the desktop and select New | Shortcut
.. Copy and paste the following path into the location field
%windir%\system32\rundll32.exe user32.dll LockWorkStation
.. Click on Next
.. Name the Short Cut "Lock Workstation" or "Switch User" as you prefer
.. Click on Finish. The "Lock Workstation" icon will be displayed on your
desktop.
.. Drag the icon on your desktop down on to the Quick Launch toolbar and
position it to your convenience.
.. Delete the shortcut from your desktop

or

"Windows key + L"

What he said below works...but if you just want to get the
good old fashioned "Windows Security" dialog box when you
hit Ctrl+Alt+Del, then you need to disable "Use the
Welcome Screen" under the "User Account" control panel
applet. Go to User accounts, then "Change the way Users
log on or off". Then just uncheck "Use Welcome Screen".
That should do it.
