Is there a way to lock pictures in Frontpage 2000 so that when published to
the we b users cannot print the picture?

How do I stop people from downloading my graphics or code?

As mentioned earlier, you can't stop visitors from downloading your
pictures. On another website, I solved the
problem to my satisfaction by creating special copies of my images and
then, using Photoshop, I added a 36 DPI
copyright symbol (15% transparency) in the center of each image. The
copyright symbol was noticeable but not so
much so as to interfere with visitors' appreciation of the images. And
since they contained the copyright symbol,
they were worthless to anyone contemplating downloading.

Thank you Uncle Joe, this sounds like what I need! It's not so much the
pictures that I want to protect is the patterns.

Thank you Tom. I will check out the sites you send me. It is not so much
the pictures of my projects that I want to protect it is the patterns.

Forgot to add that this technique is called watermarking. Several
applications can handle this for you. I use Photoshop's layers
to facilitate watermarking. The original layer is the photograph
and the second layer contains the almost transparent copyright
symbol. I lower the transparency level until the copyright is
barely visible, and then I merge the layers. Works great.

Good luck!

I used a program called Picture Shark (i think that was it)...you could
batch watermark a bunch of images at a time.
