I have made a template so that I can use it repeatedly
when interviewing people. It is made from a table. I want
to lock or protect certain cells so that the cursor will
skip over the cell for "name" and go to the blank cell
next to it where I will then type the name, etc.

How can I do that?
Thanks,
Linda

If you put text form fields in the cells that you want the user to be able
to access, you can protect the form by clicking "Tools", "Protect Document",
"Protect For Forms". The text boxes are contained on the "Forms" toolabr.
Right-click in the toolbar area and click on the toolbar to open it up.
Click inside a table cell where you want to add it and click the "AB" icon
to insert the field. You can also double-click the shaded field (which
doesn't print by the way), to enter the Field properties, where you can
change things like "Case sensitivity", etc.

There is a great link to the Word MVP FAQ that will also help:
