Locking Folder Contents Format

I have a number of folders on my Hd with JPG's and WMV's etc in then .
I like to keep the JPG's as thumbnails but I keep having to "ask"
Windows to show them as thumbnails every time I open the folders .
Is there any way of locking this choice so the folder contents remains
as I last had it .

First, set the view up as you want it. Then, click on the Tools menu at
the top of a window. Slide down to "Folder Options". The middle tab on
the page that comes up is "View". About 2/3 the way down that page is a
box that says "Remember each folder's view settings". Check that, click
on "apply", and close out.
