Locking Files From Macintosh

We have recently reinstalled the Win2k OS on one of our fileservers. We reshared all the mac volumes and everything seems to be working fine except for one thing.
We can't lock any files from a Mac. We do an Apple + I and lock a file, but if we close and then reopen the window the file isn't locked. These are not files that are in use and we didn't used to have any problems doing this before the rebuild.
There is no problems doing this on any of our other file servers that share Mac volumes.

Does any body have any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Thanks.

Just a guess. When you re-shared your Mac volumes did you change the
Owner as listed in the permissions? Your users may not be able to access
all file sharing features if they are not members of a group designated
as Owner.

Hope this helps! bill
