I have winxp home. My HD is 80GB and having 5 partitions.
C10,D10,E10,F10,and G40. The OS is on the C drive (10GB). Is there any
way to keep the other drives (D,E,F and G) locked so that during my
absence from this place no one could access them.
Please guide?
Thanks in advance.

No real way of doing that. Any one with physical access to the machine can
circumvent any kind of security measure that you may use unless you want to
implement EFS and go with a secure log on. Aside from some very serious data
loss considerations if things are not implemented correctly, any one with
physical access to the machine can still hack their way into your log on or
simply blow the data away.

My recommendation: take a full backup and carry the backup media with you,
or better yet, carry the machine with you.

HA! I am old man to carry load now.
Thanks for your wonderful guidance. I will certainly take the backup ---
not heavy stuff after all!
