locking column values in tables

Tables being constantly imported and exported but would
like to know if I can lock selected columns to stop my
users changing the values of fields.

Use your tables to create a form and then in form design

view change the properties of your selected fields/table
columns to "Locked YES". it's not the ideal solution but
it does stop unauthorised editing.
