Is there anyway to lock down one cell on a worksheet
without protecting the whole worksheet or workbook? We
have a formula in a for a total that is being typed over.

Yes, select the whole sheet in question, do format>cells>protection and
uncheck locked,
now select this particular cell and repeat but check locked, protect the
sheet. This will give you access
to everything but the protected cell

I don't think you can do that BUT you can highight the
whole worksheet under the format menus select cells, then
on the protection tab uncheck the locked box. Then
highlight the ONE cell you want locked. Repeat the above
but check the locked box. Then protect your sheet. Cells
that do not have the locked box checked will not be
protected.

Thank you!!! It works great.
