Locked record preventing macro's from running

I have a macro in an access database that updates several tables within that
database from other access databases I have, but when I run the macro a
locked record is preventing it from completing. I made sure that there
aren't any other users in the file, but the locked record is still there like
there was someone in the file. Any ideas on how to free up that record?

Make sure everyone is out of the database, then check the folder where the
database lives to see if there is still a .ldb file there. If it is, then
delete it and try again.
