Password forgetting dumbass
Yesterday I turned on my home computer running XP Pro for
the first time in a year. It all came up fine but I
realize that of the 4 accounts that are on the computer, I
cannot remember ANY of the passwords. So I effectively
cannot use the computer. I tried calling MSFT as well as
the store where I bought the computer from and neither
could help me. The store where I bought it (in November
of 2001) installed XP Pro for me. I asked them about the
password they used for the "Administrator" account. They
said they didn't use one. I then booted up from the XO
Pro CD that I had and configured it to re-install XP.
When it was done, lo and behold, all 4 of those same
accounts showed up on the login page. I was expecting the
reinstall to blow away all accounts such that I could
start fresh.
Anyone have any idea what I can do? I'm not looking for
any hacker-type tips. If I have to blow everything away
and I will, but it seems as if my one attempt at that
wasn't even successful.
