Locked out, Forgot Windows 2000 password

Hi,

When prompted recently to change my password, I
accidentally typed (I thought) my old password in to the
dialog box, but had actually just retyped it into the
space where the old password appears as ***********. I
then hit enter and now am unable to log into my
administrator level user account. Is there a simple way
around this? The net effect is the same as having
forgotten my password. I'd love to disable the password
protection entirely as it has been, and definitely
currently is, a pain in the @$$.
