I was having problems with security on an Access database so I ran the
user-level security wizard. Not really knowing what it did I deleted the
..mdw file thinking it was just a temp file. Well now I have managed to lock
everyone out of this database as it now shows a message saying I do not
necessary permissions. Is there anyway I can reset the permissions or
something that can at leats give me access again? With no .mdw file is it
possible?
Thanks for any help that can be provided.

You should have a backup (the sec-wiz makes a backup from the database
you're securing (well, as far as I know)) so take the backup database,
perhaps create a new system.mdw (Access - Tools - Security) and you're
back in bussiness again.

If that fails, try creating a new database and importing all objects
from the other one.

I had exactly the same problem with my database, and tried to import my
objects to a new database. Access would not let me because I "did not have
the necessary permissions" to access the secured database. As far as I know,
and in my experience, you are out of luck unless you have a backup copy of
the .mdw file somewhere.
