Unless you have previously modded your xbox, and backed up the lock code to your
computer, there isn't anything you can do. The hard drive is garbage.

no there has to be a way like a program
i ****in spent 160buckesim cheased
is there a way to like take the plates out and put them in a new hard
drive cse

without the original xbox working, there's nothing you can do.. unless you
find someone that can remove the chip from the xbox and read it to recover
the info to unlock the drive.. (doubt it's worth it)

you're most welcome to try changing platters with another drive.. you can
kiss both drives goodbye for good then though.. (see previous posts here
about attempts)

Chris

People have actually tried changing PLATTERS? WTF.

I have hear completely unverifiable rumors that sometimes swaping the circuit
board on the drive with an identical one might work, but somehow I doubt it.

To pirate: But wait, if you paid for the hard drive, then you installed a new
hard drive right? Did you mod your xbox or have someone mod it??? You MIGHT be
able to get the unlock code if you did. I know that at least one of the
programs that can be used to unlock the drive will change the password, and you
may or may not have used it.

Try www.xbox-scene.com forums.

i have gone to xbox-scene.com foarms and they had instructions how to do it
with out a xbox and it dosnt work
but what about the eeprom chip if i swap that then i should get the drive
working cuz the unlock thing is in there

Yes, assuming the eepron chip is still good, you can do that. Or rather, you
can get someone else to do that. Have you seen the size of that chip? More
specifically, the spacing between the pins? It's not an easy thing to remove
and resolder.
