Locked down user question

I would like to create a user with a manditory profile, that locks down
everything but internet access. No drives of any kind visible, no
applications, nothing but IE and Firefox via shortcuts on the desktop. I also
want to have the local profile not saved after logof.
My rational is this. We have consultants and clients in our office all the
time, and I would like to make a user available so they can log in to any
machine to check their e:mail and such.
Does anyone have any recomendations on this kind of situation, or issues you
have run into?

Thanks,
Gordon

Well, turning every machine into a highly locked down barrier if a
certain user logs on will be quite difficult - but not impossible
though. But if I was you, I would install extra machines for this
purpose and not risk any data loss (since your consultants and clients
do still have physical access to the machines they shall work on...).

Microsoft's got a download package with a bunch of "common GPO
scenarios" that might give you a first insight into what you are trying
to do:

Look for the "kiosk" examples - they're what you're searching for (, I
hope ;-)

cheers,
