Locked Contact List

Our contact list is shared over the network and the
previous person who maintained it locked it before she
left such that no computer besides her own is able to
edit it. Is there some way to unlock the contact list so
others can edit its contents?
 
Is it on a Exchange server ?

If yes, then on the server open Exchange System manager - folders - public
folders, find the contact list right click and take properties. Click
Permmisions, click Client permissons, add your name if it's not listed and
change the Role to owner. Now you have owner permmisons to that contact list
and can manage it's permissons localy in you otlook now.
