Hello,
I have a shared folder on my desktop that I access from
another machine outside the domain. I mistyped my password
a couple times and now I'm getting "cannot login,
referenced account is locked" messages. My domain account
isn't locked. How do I unlock the account on the local
machine?

Accounts for a local machine can be managed using the Computer Management
MMC.
Navigate to start programs -> administrative tools and select Computer
Management.
There is a local users and group section that will allow you to unlock
accounts that are local to a workstation.

The problem is that the referenced account isn't local to
the workstation. It's a domain account, which isn't locked.
