Hi,
We had an employee bring in a Linux CD and accidentally installed Linux on
the computer, the CD is a so called Live/Install CD. Is there any hardware
settings for any HD's on the market that will not allow software to
repartition the HD or format it? Something like a jumper pin that is set
physically on a HD to prevent that.

Well a limited user account would not be able to install software on xp in
windows explorer...

Is the employee still employed there? If so then his employer is a
lot more tolerant than most. In my company that would be a
termination offense.

Another example of Andrew throwing out totally useless information.
This time because he failed to actually read the posting.
