Hi,

I was just wondering, can't find it anywhere, if it is possible to lock
certain instances of Internet Explorer 6.0?

Here's the scenario in case my question is not formulated well: I have one
IE instance open where I am logged in on my eBay seller account. Now I
search for something with Google (preferences set so Google opens results in
new browser window) and of course Google opens a result in my eBay window. I
don't want that! The same with streaming audio, I just don't want to lose
certain instances. Hope this is possible.

Does anyone know the answer to Lutefisk's question. I trying to do something
similar without success.

Thanks

Hi Jaybo :-)

I think what the question is...how to open a new instance of IE in a new
Window?

Go to Tools>Internet Options> Advanced tab
UNcheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"
Click Apply
Close IE and reopen then see if the problem still exists

also..

Cannot open more windows

Start/Run/CMD.

Type this command:

REGSVR32 URLMON.DLL.

Ok/Reboot.
