I had a corruption on my pst file recently and had to do a restore from a
back up from a few weeks back but this has brought to light an unexpected
event.
When you attach a Word or Excel file into a Contacts Record where does it
save this document? It certainly does not act as a link and update the
original file you attached it from and so far I have been unable to find
where Outlooks stores the attached Word or Excel document. I can amend and
update the document it whilst within Outlook but the original file I linked
to it does not update. What is happening here?
Does anyone have any experience of where the files are actually saved when
they are linked to a Contacts record? When you check on the Properties tab
for the attached file - it does not give you a file location just a file
size.
I am using Outlook 2003 Student and Teacher Version which does not have the
full Business Contact Management system.
Any help anyone could give here would be of enormous benefit as this problem
is pretty serious for me as I use Outlook as a Client Management System and
have just lost three weeks of billing information! Not fun!
