I want to make sure I'm backing up my favorite and I don't know its
location.

Where is it?

Thanks.

You can back up the favorites to a single HTML file using
IE-File-Export.

If you really want to see where the Favorites folder is, then
right-click a favorite, select Properties and look at the General tab.

Thanks. I found them.

I'm using 2000. Can I move them to a D: drive? I didn't see in the Options
when I can tell IE where the favorites file is.

Thanks.

Favorites is a folder, not a file.
Yes, you can move the folder.
If moving the folder does not give the correct location then change it
with Regedit.
You can change the value of Favorites in the Registry in these
two keys: (ignore the second if the value is not there)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell
Folders

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User
Shell Folders

To move the Favorites folder in Win2K, close IE and then simply move the
folder from its current location to wherever you want it. Be sure you're
moving the folder and not copying it. Windows will make the necessary
registry changes automatically.

Thanks!
