location of database

I would like to re-locate the bcm database to a share directory for easy
back-up procedure.
I have tried everything but it seems impossible.
How can this be done?

I think that for security reasons, sqlserver will not trust nor use a
database file in a shared folder. There may be a way to override that.
The folks at the comp.databases.ms-sqlserver may know.
