Location of account information

I'm upgrading my system from Win98 to WinXP and will be
converting Outlook 2K to Outlook XP. Besides general
tips, can I assume that the email account information is
stored in the *.pst file? The reason I'm asking that is
because I want to backup the appropriate files in case the
Win98-XP upgrade fails and I have to reinstall 98 I'll
want the original email account information. Obviously
I'm backing up the outlook.pst file.

No, you need to reconfigure your account for this. Write down your
configuration and make sure you know your password (or you need to call your
ISP to reset it).

From Office 2002 there is a Save My Settings Wizard.
