locating physical location of ipadress in recieved email

i am trying to find out how i can locate the true physical location that a
person replying or composing email that i have recieved through my web-based
email(comcast.net)using the internet explorer 6 browser.can anyone give me
some direction?thanks

You can't. The best that you can get is an approximate geographic
location of the IP provider's equipment which issues IP addresses; and
that is dependent upon the IP provider supplying accurate geographic
information regarding that equipment.

You might get the IP provider to turn over records of who was assigned a
given IP address if you are the victim of a serious legal offense, and
file a complaint with a law enforcement agency; but the L.E.A., not you,
would get that information. That assumes that the L.E.A. can convince a
judge that it is necessary to subpoena those ISP records.
