locating netfx.msi

I have tried locating this file on both the original
Operating CD (Windows Pro 2000) and the upgrade CD (XP
Pro) but cannot find the dotnetframework folder or
dotnetfx.exe.
I have also tried installing Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
to see if that fixed my problem.
Where else do I look for the file I need?
Please advise,

dotnet framework does not come with win2k or winxp, you have to download it
from the MS website..
 
Thank you. I couldn't find the file online (page can't be found error
message) but I did have success when I reinstalled my XP upgrade.
Whatever works, right? Thanks again. CC
