locating my phone modem

I just installed windows XP office on my laptop and I
can't get my computer to find my phone modem. Anyone
know what I have to do?
 
Hare you just installed Windows XP or Office XP? Have you downloaded and
installed drivers for the modem from the manufacturer's website?
