Yes, we are able to use this method for locating tasks. However, we need to
disable the "Allow In-cell Editing" feature first to get the get the
keystrokes to work.
1. In the Tasks folder, right-click the related field (for example,
Subject), and click "Customize Current View".
2. Click "Other Settings".
3. Click to clear the "Allow In-cell Editing" check box, and click OK.
4. Click OK to return to the Outlook view.
5. Now we can type the first few characters of the task that you want to
find it.

|within the sorted list entries beginning abc.
