Miguel

I tried to open MS Outlook and the following message
appeared:

Path specified for the fileC:\Windows\Local
Settings\Applications\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst is not
valid. I clicked the OK button and window opened with the
options to Create a New Folder, Or Locate an existing one.

If possible, I would like to open the existing folder. Can
you give me suggestions\directions as to how to do this.

My OS is Windows SE, and I am using MS Outlook 2000.

Thank you for your time.

Search for *.pst on your harddisk. Make sure you include hidden and system
files/folders for your search.

I found the file/folder using *.pst but I am not sure how
to set it up, so that my folders/files can be restored.
Can you tell me how that is done?

Thank You

M

Sure although it depends a bit on in which mode you are running Outlook
2000;
When you go to Control Panel-> Mail you'll get an overview of all installed
services. One of them is Personal Folder. When you choose properties it will
most likely ask you to set the right path for it. If it doesn't prompt you
for it remove it and choose Add... Now you choose to add a new pst-file and
browse to your pst-file to set the location for it.
