Hi,

1) I want to know more about local system account on
win2k? I can't find much info on net?
Where is the profile for this stored on the machine?

2)Is local system account different from the login-account
I use to log on to my win2k machine.

3) I have a Critical Path (CP) join engine service
running. How can i check whether it is using "local system
account" privileges to run?

Regards,

The local system account is used only by the operating system and is all powerful and
yes since it is a system account it is different than the usual user accounts and you
will not find account properties for it, though it is used in ACL's as system. You
can check Computer Managements/services to see what account a service is using. Link
below tells a little bit about local system account. --- Steve
