1) I want to know more about local system account on
win2k? I can't find much info on net?
Where is the profile for this stored on the machine?

2)Is local system account different from the login-account
I use to log on to my win2k machine.

3) I have a Critical Path (CP) join engine service
running. How can i check whether it is using "local system
account" privileges to run?

The Local System Account, NT Authority/System, is a built-in account that has
permissions on most everything.

It is NOT the account you log on as and can't be.

To check the account of the service:
1. Start / run / services.msc / OK.
2. Scroll to your service and double-click it.
3. Look at the Log on tab.
