I'm trying to set up shares on a fileserver within a domain. I set up the
shared device, allowed it to be accessed by a local security group, e.g.,
LAccounting1.

Now, how do I make the global group GAccounting1 a member of the
LAccounting1 group. I open up the global group propert ies and select the
member of tab, I don't know how to enter the local security group which is
on another machine.

Thankyou.

Hi,

Please try the following steps:

1.Click on Start->Run.
2.Type in "mmc".
3.Press Ctl+m to add a snap in.
4.Click on Add button.
5.Select Local Groups and Policies.
6.Add the network computer name that you need to map.

thanking you.

You must do it vice versa. Put a Global group into your local group on that
machine.
