Local PST and Exchange Calendar

Hi everyone,

I am in a bit of a pickle. My Outlook began on an exchange only account,
however due to size constraints i decided to move set a local pst file as my
default email folder (i did this in the Tools>Email Accounts wizard). Now,
however i have a problem in that other people on the exchange network cannot
see my new calender. Currently i am keeping 2 calendars, one one the
exchange server and the other in the local pst, but the annoying thing is
that when i get meeting requests (maybe like 4 or 5 a day) the appointments
save to my local pst file. Is there any way around this or do i have to set
my default email location to the exchange server and move my emails over.
Thanks for your help in advance.

Eric

The requests always go to the Calendar in your default message store which
you've set to a PST file. I'd recommend putting it back to your mailbox and
setting up aggressive auto-archiving to move stuff from your mailbox to a
local PST to keep your mailbox under the size limit

I do this at work and have a rule set for anything that comes directly to
me, or I am a CC, except for tasks and calendar items, move to the .pst
inbox where I deal with them there. The Exchange mailbox is the default
delivery location.

Thanks for the advice, both of you.

Milly, my previous solution was rules based, but as i'm sure you know you
only 32kb of space for rules and my current rule set is larger than that.
hence the idea of moving all emails and rules to a local drive.
