local printers fail - network OK

Windows XP machine with two local printers, one USB and one Parallel. Neither will print any documents from any any software. (photoshop, Word, EXCEL) however, all software can print to a network printer connected to the USB port of another computer.

New problem, just started yesteday. I've not added any new software to any computer nor changed any hardware or hardware configurations.

Hey datona steve
may be a dumb question but did you check that the printers are both online and not offline under the printer and devices menu, also what you can try and do if they are both online depending on their models you might want to run the software for installation again to see if it will run a repair.
