Local Printers do not appear on RD host

I am unable to print to local printers during a RD session. They do not
appear in the "Printers and Faxes" box on the host computer. I cannot find a
setting on the host that might enable or disable this function. Can anyone
give me a checklist of things to check and how to check them?

I am somewhat computer literate, but not an expert, so I can usually figure
stuff ouit with a little direction, but this has me stumped.
 
OK, I figured out how to get to the right spot, however, i am not sure how to
proceed now.

I have a list on the right side of the screen with things such as "do not
allow client printer redirection" and "Do not allow LPT port redirection"

when I click on the "do not allow client printer redirection" and select
"properties" I have the option of changing from "not configured" (this is the
current setting) to "enabled" or "disabled"

I assume I should change this setting to "disabled"?
 
I guess you need to ENABLE it...

That's what has me confused. The wording would suggest that to enable, you
need to disable. I still need help, as we still cannot see printers via
Remote Desktop.
