local network setup

Is this the forum for this question? I was trying to
install a local network on a machine previously configured
for a corporate network and domain. In the networking
properties screen I clicked the workgroup radio button and
named the workgroup according to the instructions I had.
This unclicked the domain setting and I got a "see your
system admin" message which I ignored (not good). Now I
can't access the machine at all. I get the typical logon
failure message which says the system can not log you so
check user name, domain, password, CAPs lock key and so
forth. Any ideas?

You can only login with the local Administrators account on your local
computerdomain. You need to know the password with which W2K was installed
though.

OK, so I have to contact the installer and get the Admin
account password from the original install? After I log
in on the Admin account can I change the Admin account
password so it is mine?

Yep and yep. You could try with a blanc password first. If that won't work,
contact the installer.
