Hello,
In our Company we got following AD structure:
Windows 2000 Top Level Domain AI and Sublevel Domains MUC01; HAM01; LON01;
LON02;
Sites London (LON01;LON02), Hamburg (HAM01), Munic (MUC01)
Every Site has an Top Level Domain Controller.
In the London Site we have Citrix Servers which are members from the AI
Domain.
A log on Skript has been placed in the local GP in the Citrix Servers.
(Users Configuration\Windows Settings\Scripts\Logon)
The Problem we have that the Skript is only executed for User which reside
in the LON01
and LON02 Sub Domain. When I log on from my Domain MUC01 on the Citrix
Server
the Skript is not being executed.
Trouble Shooting
In The Application Event Log shows a error message with event ID 1000
Description:
Windows cannot obtain the domain controller name for your computer network.
Return value 59
Next I did a gpresult /U on the Citrix Server and saw that the Group policy
wasn't applied
for my MUC01 User Account.
Next I looked up the Usernv.log
One of the most frequent error messages were:
USERENV (d38.b6c) "Time" GetUserGuid: Failed to get user guid with 1355 and
USERENV (d38.b6c) MyGetUserName: GetUserNameEx failed with 1355.
Looking up the error codes 59 and 1355 with net helpmsg
you get
" Unexpected Network error occured "
" The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. "
Q: Could it be when the local GP is being applied that only the London Site
is being
querried for DomainUser credentials ?
If this is the case the MUC01 Domain is not being found, because it resides
in the Munic Site.
Does that make sense ?
Any Ideas/Solution/remarks are very welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Markus
