I was experimenting with my sandbox. I went to local disk properties and at
the Security tab removed all users and
just had me with full rights. Logged off, logged back in as admin with full
admin privileges and I could not get in
the local drive. Then I logged in as Administrator and I still couldn't get
in the drive. Is there any way, other then
logging in as me and changing security settings, to get into the drive?

Thanks

HJ

I am not quite sure I understand the dilemma, but an administrator with no
permissions to a ntfs folder will be denied access. Assuming that administered has
ownership, then he can change permissions to allow himself access. If he is not the
owner, then in a default installation he can take ownership and then give himself
permissions to gain access. No user, including administrators, can gain access to a
folder without having ntfs permissions to do so first. -- Steve

Agreed. And put the hard drive into another computer or try connecting
remotely if you have problems logging in locally due to the permissions
problem. Or, if the machine will boot up, try editing Active directory
group policies if you have windows 2000 or newer domain controllers.
