local device name is already in use

W2K workstation saving files up to Nas device on network
continually gets error message...
Error occurred while reconnecting to H:\\nas\files
Microsoft Windows Network: local device name is already
in use
This connection has not been restored.

Why is that occurring? How do I correct that?
 
Very close to the issue although I dont run Inoculate I
use Symantec Norton Antivirus. Any other ideas?

I'm afraid not. Have you tried to temporarily disable your antivirus?
