are u sure u r using the correct type of cable? i think u need a patch cable
they all look the same so dont think 'if it fits it works" not always the case

tell us of ur pc specs
and are u on adsl or cable......?

cool
and what type of cable are u using?

xp should be easy to configure

cable query

which cable r u talking about , the modem i was sent was a BT VOYAGER 105 the cables came with it, blue and yellow, the blue plugs into the comp. & the modem , i used the yellow at the start then i moved the comp. and had to buy an extension cable because it was to short, but i had the prob before i moved it.
the other cables r just the comp. cables that came with it.

AOHell and BT extention cables don't match/mix ... you need to use a longer yellow cable (RJ11 I think) and that needs to be conected directly into the main BT socket with that silly 'filter' they give you.

Max length for that cable is 10meters ... if that is not long enough tell AOHell to fix it ... ;)
