Yea..i know i already made a thread in general but i supposed that this one would be better. Can some oen please help me, my local area connections have dissappered of my laptop and i am unable to go online now any ideas please message...and please don't flame me :(

Can you tell us a bit more? What O/S, and are you referring to the icons in the toolbar, the START button or CONTROL PANEL?

um sure yea well wat i was doing was going through control panel to network connections, and there just seems to be nothing there. you know how you can create a new connection well this for instance dosen't even let you..it just dosen't show up where it suppose to

What operating system are you using?

It's possible that the service isn't running, and as a result the desktop interface doesn't want to play. The service configuration can vary between O/S's so let me know what you got and I will try to point you in the right direction.

Also you may want to see if you have the drivers installed. This would cause you not to see the connection.

well i use a toshiba laptop, windows xp, i'm not really sure wat type it is tho....well the drivers were in so i uninstalled and reinstalled it becuase of the same problem (yeai know retarted) well know it says something abotu a wan miniport error
