local administrator

I have added a regular user@domain to a local administrator group on a
workstation. However, everytime i log off or the user@domain logs back on
that particular user gets removed from the administrator group.

Can anyone help?
 
You wouldn't be restricting membership to the local admin group with a group
policy by any chance? That the only thing I can think of that would involve
the workstation being FUBAR.
