Hi,
I've got a user in an AD domain with local Administrator permission
that cannot add either a local printer with the local option is
grayed-out, or a network printer.
The message I get from the network sharing is "you do not have
sufficient access to your machine to connect to the selected printer".
Other user PC's have no problem installing the driver.
The same user is supposed to be able to install software, but his
system asks for Administrator priveledges. (Which he's supposed to
have) Others do not have this issue.
It's not clear to me what I need to do to enable full local Admin
priveledges. I have a US and european office with engineers that are
constantly working with new peripherals, so they have to have this
priveledge.
One alternative I'm considering is taking the PC out of the domain and
re-joining it. Maybe I screwed-up permissions when I joined it.
(lusrmgr.msc says the user has Administrator priveledges)
Please state the obvious if necessary. Any help would be appreciated.
