I have a couple of hundered pics i want to scan to disk and I have an
Epson 1660. I can't see how to do it other than to tediously preview
and set up each scan. Surely there's an easier way!!!

Nope!

If you sort by print size and scan all of the same size prints at one time,
you will cut down on the amount of re-adjusting you do to the scanning area
box.

Assuming you do not do any color correction during the scan,
(you can do it afterwards if needed) that should eliminate the
preview process.

Another possibility, if the images to scan are small, is to put
more than one on the glass at one time and then "cut them up"
in your photo editor. Some programs try to do this for you
and automatically separate the images. I don't know which
ones or how effective they are.
