Thanks but I'm on NT and MSCONFIG does not work as I think
it is for other OS's. I installed MSN Messenger and it
works but is still get the "loadqm.exe" error.

Sorry, Jerry - you didn't specify what O/S you were running.
Find the "loadqm.exe" file - should be in 'C:\Windows' - manually
"rename" the file "loadqm.exe.old" (no quotes). This will disable the
executable and end your headaches.

Hope this helps - please post back if you woes continue.

Thx for info. Did as you suggested and renamed :loadqm.exe"
to "loadqm.exe.old" On reboot I the "old" message did not
appear but a new one does...says Cannot find the file
"loadqm.exe" (or one of its components) Make sure the path
and filename are correct......" I guess I'm doomed.

Do you know if, in the event viewer, "Perflib" and
"rasctrs" are related to why I cannot get IE6/OE to work. I
had hoped fixed the "loadqm" issue would help.

Thx again

Jerry,
What O/S are you running? Win98/Me - XP?
Try "unhiding" your protected system files > Folder Options >
Control Panel > Run > Find > Files/Folders named "loadqm.exe".
Rename *all* to "loadqm.exe.old" (no quotes).

If no joy, reboot into Safe Mode, press F5 or F8 during initial boot
process - rename *all* "loadqm.exe" files from there - reboot.

Please follow my last recommendations and post back.
You are in a recoverable situation, not to worry!
