I have a workstation here that a prior employee has somehow gotten terminal service to allow us to terminal into. I am unable to get this to happen with any other xp workstation and after investigating do not see any info on the web about turning this feature on. I do not know how this was done but would like to know if it is approved by microsoft and I have somehow missed it or if it was some hack that has caused this to happen.

Remote Desktop (terminal services) is a standard feature of XP Professional.
It isn't included in XP Home.

It is enabled in properties of My Computer, Remote tab.

Unlike the feature in Windows 2000 Server, a Remote Desktop session takes
over the machine--i.e. the local screen reverts to a login screen while the
remote session is in progress.
