Hi:
For the couple of weeks, I had a hard time to load photoes into PC from
Cannon Camera. Until this happened, it was SO easy to load/copy to the PC
by using a cable which came with the camera.

Now, I need to use a CF slot of the Printer in order to load the Photoes.

Just wonder what's wrong with Camera along with Cable?

Any insight on this woulod be truly appreciated.

Thanks,

You say it's hard but you fail to include details.
Are you saying the AutoPlay screen does not
appear?

Maybe the following articles will help...if not...,
please post details of the issue you are trying
to solve.

(330135) The AutoRun or AutoPlay Feature
Does Not Work
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=330135

(822660) AutoPlay Intermittently Does Not
Detect Removable Media or Digital Cameras
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=822660

Download the Microsoft
Autoplay Repair Wizard:

Or...
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...b6-e8fa-45c4-a171-1b389cfacdad&DisplayLang=en

FWIW...using a media reader with your memory
card is a better/safer method than using the
cable to connect the camera.

Downloading from the camera drains your
batteries and if your batteries are low it can
result in corrupted photos.

Thanks for the response. I really appreciate it.

Sometime, but not every time, Auto-play appears, but it says, ... other
program is using or some similar phrase appears in the middle of loading
photoes. Afterwards, loading photoes has been completely stopped. Thus,
there is NO single picture/photes in both 'My Picutre' and 'MDI 2006.'

In my guess, 'chip'/gold in color holding CF card has been worn out, or
Camera getting old. Camera is about three and a half years old and uses
quite often.

Maybe it's time for a new camera. CF cards have
pins on them that can cause issues if they get bent.

John Inzer:
thanks for the honest opinion as to new Camera. Now, X-mas time, then money
is a kind of short. However, before Spring, I definitely plan to purchase
it.

If there is a recommendable Camera out there, I'd like to hear it.

Thanks again,

I know what you mean about money...it's tight
this year everywhere.

There are so many camera brands and models
it would be anybody's guess which one is best.

Personally I prefer Canon and if you watch the
sales you can get a decent camera...10 or
maybe 12 Megapixels for less than $125.00.

Here are a couple of useful sites that include
sample photos and movies. If you find a camera
you think you like...just look it up and see what
it can do.
