loading IE6 to win98 laptop

IE6will not install. I tried it from disk, download off of MS site and direct
opening from site. It installs up to 6% then it pops up saying unable to
install application and to close all application and try again. Nothing is
open when I try. But I am prompted to restart computer as if the install was
completed. My concern is that I have programs that require IE6 before I load
them to my computer. Thoughts?

Find the *log.txt files which ie6setup creates
and look in them for clues.

You can also try an IE Repair and look at the *log.txt file
that it creates.
