Although machine works OK in AOL narrow band, when I tried to convert to broadband the drivers would not load. AOL claim the fault is with XP. Any suggestions please?
How can it be a Windows XP problem when you are having difficulty
with installing a third-party software program? Contact AOL support
and request assistance from a "competent" support person. The vague
information you provided is not very useful for troubleshooting suggestions.
Thank you for your interest in my problem and I will now endeavour to give you fuller information
When I try to install AOL broadband from the CD supplied by AOL the BT Voyager 100 ASDL Modem SET Wizard reports 'Found new hardware' and almost immediately the following flashes up 'A problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware may not work'. After loading the following error report comes up 'There is a problem installing the drivers for your modem. The operating system could not install the driver'
My supplier PCW suggest I take the machine back to its original state, which I am very reluctant to do as they would not guarantee printer, scanner etc could be reloaded
