Loaded IE 6; lost Favorites from IE 5

Dear Friends,
We updated our windows ME as Microsoft likes us to do
and that included an "update" from IE 5.x to IE 6.0. Now
all our Favorites are missing, even when we run IE 5. The
actual Favorites may be in Windows\USER.DAT, but IE
doesn't seem to be able to do anything with that file.
Do any of you have experience with this? Any help
will be appreciated. Thank you.

Try using Find to locate Favorites, and include hidden files in your
search. It may be where it belongs.
